AMLI Residential, one of the nation’s premier luxury developers and managers, asked WRAPPED to curate a collection of artwork for their new, high-end multi-family development in Anaheim, CA, Uptown Orange.
AMLI Residential wanted multifamily art for the new apartment complex’s transitional area leading from the driveway into the motor court and for several of the building’s outdoor breezeways. As this particular development is geared towards somewhat younger professionals–many working at the medical center nearby– AMLI Residential asked WRAPPED to design a collection of artwork geared towards the market of millennials in the workforce. Upon visiting the apartment complex in Anaheim, CA, the WRAPPED team began working to realize AMLI Residential’s vision of a bright, modern collection that would complement the multiple outdoor courtyards and gardens that are integrated into the architecture of this apartment complex. Considering that the client wanted to place the artwork in a semi-outdoor setting, WRAPPED recommended the collection of multifamily art be printed on aluminum, which is weather-resilient as long as direct exposure to sun is minimal. After further consulting with the client, WRAPPED designed and curated a final collection of 4 48”x72” and 12 42”x 72” bright, abstract pieces on aluminum inspired by the flora and foliage of the courtyard gardens and 1 87”x300” bold and immersive piece on aluminum to welcome current and potential tenants into the motor court of the building. The result is a well rounded collection that is artistically interesting enough to both attract new tenants and continue to engage current residents to the apartment complex.
