Kilroy Mural at 6255 W. Sunset

We painted this custom mural at Kilroy’s corporate HQ in Los Angeles on a perforated metal screen that encased the building’s HVAC system. This metal grate was a major eyesore for the tenant on the floor, and Kilroy was looking for a cost effective way to improve the view from their windows. We presented a number of unique concepts, before ultimately settling on this vibrant, abstract artwork that complemented the existing artwork in their lobby and created a consistent visual narrative.

Proposed Artwork Options

Option 1: Figurative

Using the client’s iconic shade of red, we incorporated different figure drawings for a striking yet sophisticated concept that still aligned with the client’s brand identity

Option 2: Abstract

This simple yet bold pattern was designed to bring energetic bursts of color to an otherwise lackluster sight.

Option 3: Skyline

We wanted to add our artistic spin on having a “view” in place of the large metal box that took up most of the space directly in front of the tenant windows with this colorful display of the DTLA skyline.

Option 4: Collaborative Concept

For our last set of designs we used inspiration from the client to develop artwork that was more imaginative and playful than our other concepts.

Final Installation

By providing a diverse range of styles, our client was able to easily decide which artwork concept they liked best to satisfy their needs for this project.
